Base pay range$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr
Responsibilities- Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, pricing, proper signing, inventory control, cleanliness of the area, and organizing product displays; assess economic trends and community needs; supervise stocking and rotation of merchandise; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise.
- Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback; communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations; introduce and lead company change efforts; provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way service model; manage and support customer service initiatives; resolve customer needs and issues; develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies; provide process improvement leadership for high‑quality customer experiences.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and recognizing performance; ensure staffing needs are met and associate development is pursued.
- Control unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability by identifying performance goals, reviewing variances, conducting operational and preinventory reviews, gathering data and monitoring deficiency trends; communicate corrections to inventory controls.
- Influence and implement control corrections; train managers and associates in operational controls and processes across multiple stores; detect, deter, investigate, and resolve violations of company policies and criminal activities; conduct investigations and provide documentation and testimony as needed.
- Monitor safety and risk controls; supervise the safety team; identify accident trends and develop solutions to prevent accidents; provide training on accident prevention and minimize workplace risk.
- Manage facility‑level training and execution of asset protection, safety, and receiving procedures; ensure compliance with policies and procedures; identify training needs and deliver trainings as needed.
- Manage claims and receiving operations; ensure timely processing of claims (damaged, defective, returned items, and third‑party deliveries); provide direction for claims or receiving issues; maintain documentation and reporting; coordinate related activities with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; communicate goals and progress; promote continuous learning and adaptability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Open Door policy; uphold ethics and integrity in line with Walmart values.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of 2 years of college. Alternatively: 1 year’s experience as a supervisor in a multi‑department environment; or 1 year’s experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi‑department environment; or 2 years’ experience in asset protection or a related area.
- Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection (e.g., minimum age, specialized training, certification or licensing).
- If applicable, possession of a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility and completion of any required background checks or firearms training.
- Associates will attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
