Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiovascular Stepdown position with cardiac and neuro experience and a current TN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiovascular Stepdown Unit within a hospital setting

• Unit cares for cardiac and neuro stepdown patients, including post heart caths, cardiac bedside monitoring, and stroke/neurological cases

• 36-bed unit with patients ranging from young adults to late adults (18–60+)

• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6

• Variable core staffing plan including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and nurse interns

• Required to work night shifts from 18:45 to 08:15

• Travelers may be required to float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius, with advance notification

• Responsibilities include managing cardiac and neuro stepdown patients, administering drips, and post-cath care

• Assignment length is 13 weeks with options for 36 or 48-hour weeks

• Holiday and variable schedule coverage may be required

• COVID vaccination is not required for this assignment

• Local candidates are accepted but at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility

• All positions are auto offer

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

• Nursys verification and license verification within 30 days of assignment start

• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address

• Copy of Driver’s License required for consideration

• Two professional references required
