1st shift - 6:50am - 3:00pm
Summary: Line Technician I will be responsible for quality control to ensure optimal performance, uphold safety protocols, and adhere to all Schwan Cosmetics, USA policies and procedures. Reporting to the Production Supervisor or Department Manager, you will play a critical role in meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent
1. Quality Control (85%)
- Perform quality checks, line clearance, and visually inspect quality attributes (bar codes, seals, graphics, etc.).
- Report on quality and foreign material issues.
- Complete documentation and administrative tasks to ensure proper communication and detailed information on quality, safety, and production.
- Perform product feeding and packing operations on various technologies.
- Adhere to scrap requirements.
- Engage in housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and safe work environment to include cGMP guidelines.
- Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, eco-friendly practices.
- Perform other duties as required by the Production Supervisor or Department Manager.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent experience.
- Must demonstrate basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers.
- Proficiency in speaking, reading/comprehending, and writing in English.
- 0-1 years of experience in a high-volume machine-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated performance to standards, or equivalent education and experience.
