Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Role Overview

The Controller will be responsible for leading day-to-day accounting operations while strengthening financial controls, reporting accuracy, and close processes across the business. This role will partner closely with executive leadership and serve as a key finance leader as the organization continues to scale.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a PE-backed, fast-paced environment where building structure and process is a priority.

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
• Oversee revenue recognition, cost accounting, and balance sheet integrity

• Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation
• Improve close timelines and reporting consistency across entities
• Implement scalable processes to support growth and complexity
• Partner with leadership to enhance financial discipline and visibility

• Lead external audit coordination and support annual audit requirements
• Partner with third-party providers on tax filings and compliance
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting standards
• Manage and mentor accounting staff
• Act as a trusted partner to operations, leadership, and PE stakeholders
• Support integration of new entities as part of future acquisitions

• 6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience in PE-backed, multi-entity, or services businesses strongly preferred
• Prior responsibility for owning the close and financial reporting
• Exposure to acquisitions or integration environments a plus

• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Experience with ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
• Advanced Excel skills; ability to analyze and interpret financial data

• Hands-on, proactive, and accountable

• Strong communicator with the ability to partner cross-functionally
