Job Details

The Soil Scientist conducts detailed site evaluations to support septic system design and land development projects. This role involves performing field investigations, excavating and examining test pits, classifying soils in accordance with state and local guidelines, and preparing accurate soil maps and reports. The Soil Scientist collaborates with civil engineers, environmental specialists, and regulatory agencies to ensure site designs meet environmental and public health standards.

This position requires extensive fieldwork, technical expertise in soil morphology and classification, and a strong understanding of onsite wastewater treatment regulations.
