Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineering Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing division. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, a deep understanding of engineering documentation, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. You will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to ensure components meet stringent aerospace standards and are optimized for manufacturability.
Responsibilities- Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to evaluate part conformity.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure compliance.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities using methods such as 5-Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC.
- Collaborate with engineers to assess the manufacturability of components and identify potential risks early in the design or production process.
- Provide feedback on engineering drawings and documentation to improve clarity and reduce ambiguity.
- Assist in developing and updating work instructions, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving process capability, and increasing efficiency.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, standard work, and process mapping.
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read high-level GD&T blueprints.
- Experience in root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive.
Skills & Qualifications
- Engineering tech or recent engineering graduate with a high level of mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in quality assurance and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
The work environment involves close collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams. The role demands the use of lean manufacturing tools and continuous improvement initiatives. Employees are expected to work in a fast‑paced aerospace manufacturing setting, contributing to the high standards of quality and efficiency.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Murfreesboro, TN.
Pay And Benefits- Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Murfreesboro, TN.
