* Registered Nurse Job, 12 Hours Days Shift (7a-7:30p), IMCU Telemetry Powers Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for IMCU Telemetry to work days at Community Hospital in Munster, IN. The Intermediate Care North Unit is a 32-bed multidisciplinary 24-hour unit located on the third floor of the hospital. Patients over the age of twelve may be admitted to this unit, but the average age is 65.#
The most common types of patients admitted to IMCU North include patients with: ESRD patients (CAPD or Hemodialysis) either primary or secondary diagnosis, cardiac dysrhythmia, unstable angina, CAD, PVD, COPD, management of diabetes, CHF, general surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring postoperatively. Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process. Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. Practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, the Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of#PH#by providing the highest quality care. Provides for the well-being of the community, services the needs of all people and demonstrates the values: dignity, compassionate care, community, quality and stewardship.
Required Skills #
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.# Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau.# BSN preferred.# Obtains and maintains current certification (ACLS) as required in specialty areas (Critical Care). Obtains and maintains current CPR.
