Unit information:
The Intermediate Care North Unit is a 27-bed multidisciplinary 24-hour unit located on the third floor of the hospital. Patients over the age of twelve may be admitted to this unit, but the average age is 65. The most common types of patients admitted to IMCU North include patients with: ESRD patients (CAPD or Hemodialysis) either primary or secondary diagnosis, cardiac dysrhythmia, unstable angina, CAD, PVD, COPD, management of diabetes, CHF, general surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
