- Unit: Intermediate Care North Unit (IMCU North)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Start Date: February 2, 2026
- End Date: May 4, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (6-12 weekend shifts per contract)
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Electronic Documentation: EPIC required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Intermediate Care RN experience
- Active Indiana RN License or Compact State RN License (must be in hand at submission)
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- Required to pass on-site EKG exam (Pass/Fail)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Omnicell experience required
- Travel RN experience required
- Ability to float to other hospital units (IMCU, Med/Surg, ICU, ER Hold)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical exemptions only)
- First-time travel nurses not accepted
- Preferred:
Previous charge nurse experience
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, renal, and multi-system conditions
- Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and dysrhythmias
- Administer cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
- Manage central lines, chest tubes, surgical drains, and feeding tubes
- Perform blood product administration, IV therapy, and pre/post hemodialysis management
- Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic health records
- Float to other units as required based on census and acuity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to hospital isolation precautions
