The role also participates in project-related activities such as hardware/software rollouts and technology upgrades while maintaining compliance with IT standards, policies, and procedures.
This position requires strong technical expertise, clear communication, and an understanding of both clinical and non-clinical workflows. The technician must maintain accurate documentation, escalate complex issues as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service to staff at all levels.
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum of 3 years of desktop support experience required; healthcare experience preferred. Proven ability to troubleshoot, upgrade, and support Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, MS Outlook, and internet-based tools.
Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to repair and support hardware such as HP or Macintosh desktops and laptops preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to work effectively with non-technical users at all organizational levels.
Experience using an ITSM ticket management system (e.g., Cherwell, Service Now) preferred.
Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification preferred.
CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
Able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
