Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is currently hiring compassionate Caregivers and Home Care Aides to provide non‑medical, in‑home care to seniors and adults in Munster, IN and surrounding Lake & Porter County areas.

• Flexible schedules – Part‑time or PRN
• Multiple shifts available: days, evenings, overnights, weekends
• One‑on‑one care (no facility staffing)
• Paid orientation and ongoing training

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation, and transfers
• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
• Assist with safe mobility using walkers or wheelchairs
• Provide medication reminders only (no administration)
• Observe, document, and report changes in client condition
• Clock in/out and complete care notes using a mobile app
• Follow all agency policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1+ year caregiving experience preferred (home care, assisted living, or long‑term care)
• CNA experience welcomed but not required
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
• Must pass a national background check
• CPR certification and TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Dependable, professional, and compassionate
• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and documentation
