Position Overview

Kennziffer 11700. Fixed term of 3 years, full-time, 38.5h/week, salary according to TV‑L E13. Centre of Medical Genetics, Institute of Reproductive Genetics. University Klinikum Münster.

• Planning, execution and analysis of experimental work
• Identification and prioritisation of genetic causes of non‑obstructive azoospermia working with large‑scale genomic datasets
• Functional characterisation of genetic variants in Drosophila utilising CRISPR/Cas9
• Supervising and training of students (PhD, MD, Master)
• Conceptionalisation and further development of projects in the field of reproductive genetics
• Publication and presentation of results
• Collaborating with scientists within the CRC 1748 and beyond

• Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in life sciences
• Strong interest in human genetics, bioinformatics, research and development in a translational setting
• Previous postdoctoral experience in molecular biology techniques and/or bioinformatic approaches with large‑scale datasets
• High motivation for scientific work and willingness to contribute to an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written);
  German skills are advantageous

• Integration of large‑scale human genetics with clinical and functional characterisation to directly translate discoveries into the clinics
• Excellent possibilities for career development and networking fostering scientific qualification as well as the development of your own project ideas
