- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and engaging to solve their needs.
- Inform guests of current promos, store activities and events; stay knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience.
- Explain and promote Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with applications or sign-ups as needed.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
- Explain features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet; be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll and use these features.
- Handle returns following policy prompts; collaborate with leaders as needed to resolve guest issues.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up orders and returns with compliance to applicable laws and store procedures.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- Effective communication and a welcoming attitude toward guests and team members.
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks; ability to educate guests about products and services.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently and with a team.
- Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks within time frames.
- Accurately handle checkout operations and cash office support as needed; flexibility for a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
