Position: FSQA Lead (3rd Shift)

Description

This position reports to the QA Supervisor and is part of the QA structure. Working alongside other QA team members supporting operations team process in accordance with the organization’s policies and programs, to ensure that customer quality standards are bring met.

Role And Responsibilities
  • Accountable for coordinating and ensuring the FSQA programs designed to ensure the quality and food safety production is consistent with established standards.
  • Support & back-up for FSQA supervisor, back up for technicians, liaison with techs and production for program execution, cross trained in all areas relevant to FSQA team functionality.
  • Trained in food safety & quality system management, HACCP, GMP and guarantees their correct application and improvement with tech team.
  • Ensure that all the measures to guarantee finished products’ compliance with specifications are properly executed, coordinating activities following established guidelines, methods and assistance for complaints and investigations
  • Supports production personnel training for QA critical topics, investigation corrective actions for internal deviations and customer complaints.
  • Set an example of leadership by assisting in the ongoing coaching, development and training of techs performing quality and food safety tasks. Provide coaching and feedback when errors occur. Provide expertise and resources for technicians.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in relative industry
  • Previous experience in a food production environment
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory/lead experience, or a minimum of 3 experience in quality assurance in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of GMPs, SPC, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations.
  • HACCP certification
  • SQF training
