Overview
FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions available (full-time and part-time) at Muncie Community Schools.
Location:
801 North Walnut Street, Muncie, IN 47305. Online applications are accepted only.
Full-time and part-time schedules. Shifts include: 7:00 am – 1:30 pm, 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, 7:30 am – 2:00 pm. Schedule depends on school and hours may vary. Details provided at interview.
Requirements- Previous food service experience preferred.
- Serv Safe certification is a plus.
- $250 STAY bonus after 90 days

Pay range: $14.00–$16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities- Perform cashiering duties and general food service tasks.
- Maintain sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas.
- Perform prep work (washing, peeling, cutting, seeding fruits/vegetables) and measure ingredients.
- Transport food and supplies between stations, following safety standards.
- Store foods according to wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
- Use recipes and production standards to ensure quality, proper serving temperatures, and portion control.
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner; resolve customer questions and concerns.
- Relay information to supervisors; perform sales transactions and process payments.
- Issue receipts and handle refunds following standard procedures.
- Manage change funds and ensure cash drawer accuracy.
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
