Work-Study positions are federally funded, part-time positions. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities that will be explained during the interview process.
We are excited to offer an on-campus job position for college students! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experiences while balancing your academic commitments. We're seeking motivated students who are eager to join the Ivy Tech team!
Responsibilities- Identify and locate valid, scholarly sources (books, journal articles, interviews, etc.) representing a range of perspectives in psychology.
- Read and critically analyze selected sources.
- Summarize key points and extract relevant excerpts.
- Format and organize sources for integration into curriculum materials.
- Maintain accurate records of sources and summaries.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Responsibilities may be completed remotely if hours are thoroughly documented and reported.
- Enrolled as a student and maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Has passed Introduction to Psychology (PSYC
101). - Excellent reading, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and summarize scholarly material.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester.
- Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
- Students must have a current and completed FAFSA on file.
- Student must demonstrate financial need.
- Experience with academic research or literature review.
- Familiarity with APA formatting and citation styles.
