Sales Director - Europe at Re Orbit

ReOrbit is looking for an experienced Sales Director to lead the sale of communications satellites and drive business growth across European governments, civil and defence sectors, satellite operators, and other stakeholders.

The Sales Director reports to the VP of Sales in Helsinki and will own key client relationships, develop new markets within Europe, and represent ReOrbit at conferences and seminars.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for Europe to meet regional targets.
  • Sell sovereign satellites, manage customer relationships, and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships with potential customers, partners, governments, and industry experts.
  • Apply professional selling and business development techniques combined with product knowledge.
  • Gather customer requirements and collaborate with Solution Engineers to iterate product offerings.
  • Coordinate with the Global Sales Team on opportunities, strategy, and market landscape.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify customer needs and trends.
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline in CRM from lead generation to closing.
  • Represent ReOrbit at conferences, trade fairs, and industry panels.
  • Follow legal aspects and contracts in Europe and keep the team updated on space and defence policy.
Essential Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Relevant experience in the Space & Defence ecosystem in a business development or sales role.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages (German, French, Spanish) is a plus.
Desired Attributes
  • Motivated professional with a proven track record of closing complex deals.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the EU.
  • Good understanding of the telecom satellites market, satcom operations, and the broader communications market.
  • Well‑developed European contacts network.
