This is a player-coach role: you spend roughly 20% of your time on people management and coaching, while about 80% is dedicated to hands-on engineering, with a strong focus on individual contribution and coding.

This is a hybrid role, requiring four on-site days per month.

• Team Leadership: You will take mentoring responsibility for one team and inspire them to achieve top performance. You will not only provide guidance but also actively participate in the software development lifecycle with hands-on coding and engineering.
• Coaching and Development: You are not just a leader, but also a mentor. You promote the individual development of your team members  technical, methodological, and personal competencies. You know how to unleash potential and help individuals surpass themselves.
• Continuous Improvement: You actively shape the continuous improvement process. The skills of your team as well as your own are close to your heart. You promote knowledge transfer and focus on constant development.
• Agile Product Development: Your passion is agile product development. You are responsible for changes and optimizations regarding the latest engineering practices, with a focus on domain-driven design.
• Technology Stack: You work with a comprehensive technology stack, including AWS, Kotlin, and Type Script.
• Cross-functional Work: You and your team support the cross-functional YBIYRI team throughout the software lifecycle by contributing your expertise and experience.

• You bring leadership experience and master coaching and moderation.
• You are enthusiastic about agile work and modern leadership principles.
• Your high social competence and convincing communication skills make you authentic.
• You can form, lead, and continuously improve teams, ensuring they reach their full potential and achieve outstanding results.

• You understand CI/CD, TDD, and clean code inside out.
• You're skilled in Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and building scalable, event-driven systems
• You have experience in software engineering with knowledge in Kotlin, Type Script, Spring Framework, and React.
• Driven by curiosity and learning, you explore new approaches, share learnings, and build deep expertise where it matters most for the team.
• You design code that is simple, expressive, and joyful to work with.
• You make data-informed decisions and are passionate about measurable impact.
• You are an excellent communicator (English required; German is a plus) and empathetic leader who earns trust and accountability.
• You use AI to accelerate your work without compromising quality or security.

• Flexible work location: With our RIOFlex model, it is possible to work up to 90% from home or even pursue your job for some time from abroad in the EU. Since team cohesion is very important to us, we prefer onboarding and events in onsite mode and want teams to meet face-to-face a few days per month.
