Full-Stack Software Engineer

Zalion is on a mission to eliminate repetitive procurement work through agentic AI. We’re building autonomous agents that operate deep within enterprise procurement — navigating messy data, legacy systems, and complex workflows to deliver real impact.

Join us early and help define how enterprise AI is done right.

You will:

• Own and ship end-to-end features — from API design and data models to polished UIs and production monitoring.
• Build scalable backend APIs (today mostly Python/FastAPI , but we’re open to Kotlin or other modern backend stacks if you can justify the trade-offs).
• Ship high-quality frontends (today mostly Next.js / React / Type Script + Tan Stack , but we’re open to Angular or other modern frameworks if you can deliver a great UX with strong engineering practices).
• Design and evolve agent workflows (Lang Chain/Lang Graph) that are robust, observable, and debuggable — not just prompt hacks.
• Work with both structured and unstructured procurement data (RFQs, emails, quotes, contracts).
• Build data & system integrations (ERP, email, supplier systems).
• Help shape our architecture, reliability, and engineering best practices as we grow.
• Collaborate directly with founders, PM, and customers to understand real procurement workflows and turn them into product.

Backend:
Python (FastAPI) — open to Kotlin and other pragmatic choices where they improve the system

Frontend:
Next.js , React , Type Script , Tan Stack Query/Router — open to Angular and other modern frameworks

AI/Agents:
Lang Chain, Lang Graph, Lang Smith

Cloud: AWS (Bedrock, ECS Fargate, Lambda, SQS/SNS)

Delivery & Ops:
Git Hub CI/CD, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus

LLMs and evaluation tooling

We’re opinionated about outcomes (quality, reliability, speed), not about dogma. If you have strong reasons to use a different tool, we’ll listen.

• Strong backend engineering skills in Python or Kotlin (or a comparable modern backend language) — clean, maintainable, well-tested code matters.
• Professional experience building production frontends with React/Next.js or Angular (or a comparable modern framework), ideally with Type Script .
• Experience in backend architecture and working with data-heavy systems (integration work, pipelines, “messy real-world data”).
• Comfortable building and scaling RESTful APIs (bonus if you’ve worked with async/event-driven systems).
• Curiosity about how LLMs can be used in real-world settings (pragmatic, measurable, reliability-first).
• A builder mindset — you like to ship, measure, and iterate rather than bikeshed.
• Comfort with ambiguity and ownership : you spot problems, propose solutions, and drive them to completion without waiting for perfect specs.
• 4+ years experience in relevant (start-up) roles.
