As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Supermodular AI, you’ll take ownership of designing and building user-facing applications that make our AI agents intuitive, reliable, and impactful for enterprise customers. You’ll be responsible for crafting clean, performant, and scalable frontends—primarily with React and Next.js—that integrate seamlessly with our backend systems.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our design and product teams to translate complex workflows into simple, elegant user experiences. You’ll work alongside our engineering leads to make architectural decisions for the frontend stack, while also occasionally contributing to backend services when needed. Just as importantly, you’ll guide and coordinate the work of junior engineers, fostering best practices and ensuring high-quality delivery across the team.

This is a position for someone who not only loves building polished interfaces, but who also enjoys solving end-to-end technical challenges and shaping the frontend architecture that will scale with our growth.

• Expertise in React and Next.js
  , with a strong track record of building production-grade, performant, and maintainable applications.

• Solid understanding of modern frontend engineering
  , including state management, component-driven design, responsive layouts, and accessibility.

• Ownership of technical scope, making decisions and driving implementation proactively.

• Experience with backend integration
  , including REST and Graph
  
  QL APIs, and the ability to contribute to backend code when necessary.

• Familiarity with cloud-native environments and CI/CD workflows to ensure smooth deployments and scalability.

• Understanding of performance, security, and reliability in frontend applications.

• Experience mentoring and collaborating with junior engineers, ensuring best practices in code quality, testing, and architecture.

• Strong communication skills to work effectively with product, design, and engineering stakeholders.

• Founder mindset - makes informed decisions with cost/speed/value in mind and is comfortable navigating uncertainty or less-than-clear requirements.
