Chief Counsel, European IP Litigation

Responsibilities

• Leading European IP Litigation: Taking full ownership of European IP dispute cases, with a focus on patent litigation. You will oversee litigation intelligence, risk assessment, mitigation, and business development. You will be responsible for designing case strategy, selecting and managing external law firms, and executing offensive and defensive litigation plans.
• Building Alternative Workflow Capabilities: Establishing and enhancing the organization’s capabilities in alternative and innovative legal workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• Developing a Strong IP Ecosystem: Building and nurturing a robust network of European IP litigation partners, including law firms, testing institutions, and experts.
• Driving Global IP Strategy: Coordinating global litigation countermeasures, participating in settlement and licensing negotiations, and reviewing related legal agreements.
• Acting as a Company Representative: Serving as the company’s representative and spokesperson in the field of European IP dispute resolution.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in intellectual property, including at least 5 years specializing in European patent litigation.
• Admission to practice law in Europe. European Patent Attorney qualification is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to integrate legal expertise with business and industry insight.
• Full professional fluency in English, German and Chinese.
• Strong team spirit and excellent communication and coordination skills.
