Silicon Material Engineering Project Specialist - Supply Chain; M, F, D

Be at the center of the action on new custom silicon product development for Apple's groundbreaking Products. Apple’s HWTech team is looking for a high-energy Engineering Project Specialist (EPS) for the planning of various silicon material across engineering teams. As an EPS within the HWTech organization, you will be responsible for planning, implementation and ongoing support of the engineering silicon material.

Our environment is dynamic and ever-changing; flexibility is a requirement. The ability to prioritize and react quickly is essential.

As an EPS, you will work closely with cross functional engineering teams and external vendors to facilitate silicon validation. We are looking for a material manager with excellent interpersonal skills, who is detail oriented and able to multi-task and prioritize time-sensitive work. The goal is to provide engineering support for the development and validation of state-of-the-art silicon material, spanning engineering design phases through production release and ramp for our innovative products.

• Develop and manage silicon material plans for new product validation programs and teams
• Drive vendors to deliver to material plan; holding vendor accountable for quantity and schedule
• Play a primary role in material allocation
• Closely track material WIP from factory through to the engineering teams
• Identify and drive mitigation for issues that stem from material shortages, schedule delays, or engineering changes
• Communicate delivery schedules and be familiar with associated details such as test program, special fusing requirements, associated memory, fab process corners, packaging, expedite status
• Ensure the smooth flow of material necessary to meet the validation requirements and schedules
• Report on material progress and investigate material blocker issues
• Anticipate potential issues and communicate to relevant teams for mitigation

• BA/BS degree or 3+ years of industry experience
• Familiarity with semiconductor supply chain – wafer, test, package, OSAT, Foundry flows
• Ability to fluently speak and write in English.

• Silicon material management experience
• Experience in data visualization
• Highly detail oriented, ensuring accuracy of all data, status and reports
• Top-notch critical thinking, with ability to weigh both macro & micro level detail
• Ability to stay calm and respond in time sensitive environments
• Experience partnering with overseas vendors
• A self-starter who is comfortable operating with ambiguity
• A very high degree of familiarity with Excel for day-to-day use
• Experience managing, organizing, and maintaining multiple projects at a time
