For our Modelling and Analytics team based in Munich we are looking for a Risk Analytics Consultant. In this exciting role you will utilize your skills and passion to work with our experts to develop and implement climate risk services to Munich Re’s Location Risk Intelligence platform. As a Risk Analytics Consultant you need to have a deep understanding of analytical concepts together with outstanding interpersonal skills to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Design and implement innovative risk scoring and advanced analytics solutions
- Lead model documentation and validation services to ensure transparency, robustness, and compliance
- Drive physical risk impact modelling (e.g., Supply Chain, Mortality) across multiple perils using statistical and physics-based approaches
- Support climate risk modelling initiatives and integrate insights into Munich Re’s Location Risk Intelligence platform
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Munich Re group in multidisciplinary environment
- Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
- Profound computing and programming skills (e.g., Python, C/C++)
- Experience in physical climate risk modelling and/or risk scoring development
- Familiarity with model validation frameworks and documentation best practices
- Knowledge of geospatial data processing and software (QGIS, ArcGIS...)
- Team player with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Very good communication skills in English and German
