Globally remote role.
As a cloud operations engineer, you bring Python software‑engineering skills and rigor to operations. You will practice Dev Sec Ops from bare metal to application, architect and run Open Stack, Kubernetes, and software‑defined storage, and enable Dev Sec Ops for applications running on that infrastructure.
Responsibilities• Develop and maintain Python infrastructure‑as‑code scripts and tools across the stack.
• Operate and upgrade hundreds of private cloud, Kubernetes, and application clusters for customers across physical and public cloud estates.
• Drive automation and model‑driven operations, adopting a universal operator pattern.
• Meet operational demands in a high‑pressure environment with mission‑critical services for global brand customers.
Qualifications- Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience with Linux and familiarity with Linux networking and storage.
- Python software development expertise.
- Operational experience in a large‑scale cloud environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long.
- Experience with Open Stack or Kubernetes deployment or operations.
- Familiarity with public or private cloud management.
- Distributed work environment with twice‑yearly team sprints in person.
