Customs Specialist

To lead and manage Customs and DG Shipping activities across all branch locations, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and smooth operations for vessel and cargo-related processes.
This role requires strong knowledge of Customs regulations, DG Shipping procedures, and the ability to coordinate with multiple government authorities and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all Customs-related activities on a Pan-India basis.
Handle customs clearance for ship spares, general import/export, vessel importation/exportation, conversions, and reversions.
Guide all branch offices on Customs and DG Shipping matters, ensuring adherence to legal and procedural requirements.
Liaise with Customs, DG Shipping, Mercantile Marine Department (MMD), and other government bodies for necessary permissions, licenses, and dismissals.
Ensure full legal compliance with Customs and DG Shipping regulations.
Keep abreast of the latest DG Shipping rules and guidelines, advising the management accordingly.
Coordinate with internal teams and principals to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

Looking for:

Graduate in any discipline with Customs F Card holder / Regulation 6 qualification.
15–20 years of relevant experience in Customs and DG Shipping operations.
Strong knowledge of Customs processes, DG Shipping regulations, and maritime documentation.
Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
