Assistant Manager - Flight Dispatcher

Job Description:

- Job Summary:

- Create safe and economic operational flight plans, coordinating with Air Traffic Control, Pilots and Maintenance ensuring that all aspects of flights are in accordance with company policies.
Job Specification:

- Shall be responsible for preparation of the Operational and ATS flight plan and assist the PIC in flight preparation and provide the relevant information and any amendment as required by PIC
− Planning and selecting suitable and optimum flight routes n respect of operational factors, including the avoidance of natural hazards such as tropical storms, volcanic activities
− Monitor operational messages and responding to flight planning related requests in timely manner
− Support and assist Pilot with flight planning queries in a timely and accurate manner
− Shall watch on Notam and weather in performance perspective, in case of any adverse weather development, update the PIC and supervisor for decision making
− In the event of an emergency shall follow company guideline and assist the assistant manager to handle the situation.
− Shall carry out flight following/tracking at periodic intervals on the progress of the flight.
− Shall file the operational flight plans and ensure that any changes to the flight plans are updated in accordance with ATC requirement
− Be conversant with company fuel and operational polices, aircraft performance, aviation meteorology, route structure. Flight planning requirements and apply such knowledge to achieve safe and optimal flight planning outcomes
− Shall nominate his deputy to officiate on his behalf in case of leave or absence.
− Any other duties assigned by the Superiors.
Qualification &

Experience:

- DGCA approved Flight Dispatcher with 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized Board/University
− Additional industry related certification (e.g., Auditor's course, Advance Flight Planning, Fuel Management etc.) will be advantage
− Total Aviation experience at least 08 years
− Experience as Approved Flight Dispatchers at least 3 years;
Skills & Knowledge:

- Extensive overall knowledge of all areas of Flight Dispatch.
Must have skill set of teams building and leadership qualities, problem solving, conflict management, crisis handling, Analytical skills
