Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Logistics with strong expertise in vehicle management, air freight, and FTL transportation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing multimodal freight operations, ensuring timely deliveries, cost optimization, and efficient fleet utilization.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end transportation operations including FTL/PTL, surface freight, and air cargo.
Oversee vehicle placement, fleet utilization, route planning, and capacity management.
Coordinate air freight bookings, cargo documentation, and airline/vendor follow-ups.
Negotiate freight rates and manage transporter/vendor relationships.
Monitor transit timelines, shipment tracking, and SLA adherence.
Ensure compliance with e-way bills, invoicing, and transport documentation.
Drive cost control and operational efficiency across freight modes.
Handle reverse logistics and resolve delivery escalations.
Key Skills Required
Strong experience in vehicle and fleet management .
In-depth knowledge of FTL, PTL, air freight, and multimodal logistics .
Freight cost negotiation and vendor management expertise.
Proficiency in TMS/ERP systems and Advanced Excel.
Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Experience & Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations.
4–7 years of relevant experience in transportation and freight operations.
