This role is based on-site in the UAE and will require relocation. ALEMCO is scheduled to hold interviews in India.  Mumbai  (January 27-28) and  Pune  (Jan 28-30)

As a  Tower Crane Electrical Engineer,  you will be responsible for the successful and safe execution of all electrical aspects of tower cranes and construction hoists during preparation, erection, operation, climbing, and dismantling. This role involves leading a team of technicians, coordinating with crane operators, and ensuring smooth crane operations across project sites.

About Your Team
You’ll work within the  Plant & Equipment  division, collaborating closely with crane engineers, logistics teams, and safety officers to ensure seamless crane operations. From planned maintenance to urgent repairs, your input will help keep critical lifting operations on schedule and incident-free.

Your Role
Install frequency converters, PLCs, modules, limit switches, and other electrical components on tower cranes.
Upgrade older cranes with new PLCs, frequency drive units, and modules.
Copy parameters from one frequency drive to another via control card and install on different drives.
Set forbidden/restriction zones for tower crane jib movements.
Conduct scaling and load tests on tower cranes and set landing levels/load tests for hoists.
Install, activate, and deactivate anti-collision systems.
Attend on-call breakdowns, identify root causes, and perform timely and cost-effective repairs.
Conduct periodic maintenance of tower cranes and hoists.
Mark base and tie locations as per drawings and install the crane structure accordingly.
Provide  in-house training  to technicians and electricians.
Rehabilitate and rewire electrical panels of tower cranes to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
Identify required spare parts for repairs and maintenance and coordinate timely orders with the Operations team

What We’re Looking For

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in tower crane and passenger hoist operations.
At least 2 years in a supervisory role with strong electrical background.

Technical

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of tower cranes (Potain, Liebherr, Terex, Zoomlion) and hoists (Alimak, Zoomlion, XMT).
Strong electrical diagnostic and repair skills.
Ability to read electrical schematics, technical manuals, and PLC diagrams.
Leadership

Skills:

Ability to lead and train a team of technicians and electricians.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
