Role Overview

The Manager – Visual Merchandising is responsible for the aesthetic and commercial presentation of the brand across all retail touchpoints. You will define and implement the visual merchandising (VM) strategy to elevate store "Stopping Power," ensuring every display tells a unique story that resonates with high-net-worth individuals (HNI) and luxury consumers. This role acts as a bridge between brand strategy and on-ground execution, maintaining the "Gold Standard" of experiential luxury

Key Responsibilities

VM Strategy & Playbook Development

- Develop, Define and implement a creative VM strategy that aligns with the annual marketing calendar (Collection launches, Diwali, Wedding Season, etc.).
- Develop detailed "VM Execution Playbooks" for regional teams, including window display concepts, planograms, and lighting guidelines.
- Ensure consistent brand expression across metro and Tier-2 city showrooms

In-Store Experience & Display

- Design and oversee high-impact window displays and in-store "Thematic Zones" (e.g., The Bridal Studio) to increase store footfall
- Curate product layouts that maximize visual appeal and optimize space utilization, focusing on high-margin and flagship collections.
- Manage the selection and maintenance of premium display materials (velvet, leather, custom props) and specialized jewellery lighting

Vendor & Budget Management

- Build and manage a robust vendor ecosystem for fabrication, props, and installation across India.
- Manage the national VM budget, ensuring zero overspend while optimizing costs through centralized negotiations.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of VM props from prototype evaluation to final deployment.

Audit & Compliance

- Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure 100% adherence to central VM guidelines and hygiene standards.
- Analyse sales data and footfall patterns to measure the effectiveness of displays and adjust layouts for better conversion.

Training & Leadership

- Train and mentor store staff and regional VM coordinators on "Experiential Luxury" standards and daily display maintenance.
- Collaborate with Brand, Merchandising, and Store Operations to ensure seamless product-display alignment.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong aesthetic sense with a deep understanding of luxury storytelling.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), AutoCAD, or 3D modelling software.
- Ability to translate creative concepts into sales-driving layouts.
- Meticulous approach to lighting, symmetry, and material finish.

Key Success Metrics (KPIs)

- Stopping Power: % increase in customers pausing at window displays or specific "Hero" sections.
- VM Compliance Score: % adherence to the Central Playbook across all retail locations.
- Sales Lift:
Contribution of specific visual themes/displays to SSSG (Same Store Sales Growth).

Cost Efficiency:
Reduction in average setup cost per store via vendor optimization
