Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are looking for a Senior Visual Retail Designer to lead the design, development, and rollout of in-store POP, POS solutions, store façade designs, and Visual Merchandising systems across our retail network. This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role. You will define and continuously improve how our flagship products are displayed in-store—from mattresses and beds to recliners, sofas, chairs, desks, and accessories such as pillows—ensuring strong storytelling, clarity of benefits, and brand consistency.
The role requires strong retail design sensibility, material and fabrication knowledge, and the ability to translate brand and product narratives into scalable physical experiences that evolve with the brand’s journey.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Display Strategy & Visual Merchandising
Define and enhance how core product categories are presented in-store, including mattresses, beds, recliners, sofas, chairs, desks, and sleep accessories.
Design Visual Merchandising solutions that improve product understanding, navigation, and customer engagement.
Ensure consistent yet adaptable execution across store formats, including flagship and high-priority locations.
Store Facade & Window Design
Conceptualise and design store façade graphics, window displays, and entry moments aligned with brand campaigns and product launches.
Ensure façade designs are visually compelling, brand-consistent, and scalable across multiple store types. Scalable Retail Design Systems
Develop modular, repeatable POP and POS systems that balance creativity with durability, cost efficiency, logistics, and ease of installation.
Create toolkits and guidelines to enable consistent Visual Merchandising execution across 180+ stores.
Design systems that can evolve with new products, store formats, and brand milestones.
Fabrication & Material Expertise
Work closely with fabrication partners to ensure designs are production-ready and structurally sound.
Apply strong understanding of retail materials, finishes, lighting, print processes, and fabrication techniques.
Supervise prototyping, fabrication, and on-ground execution to ensure quality and design intent.
Visualisation & Presentation
Present concepts using 2D layouts, 3D visualisations, mockups, or AI-assisted tools.
Communicate spatial thinking and feasibility clearly to internal stakeholders and vendors. Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
Partner with Brand, Retail Operations, Marketing, Product, and Store Design teams.
Manage timelines, approvals, and execution across vendors and store locations.
Provide strategic inputs while adapting designs to business and operational realities.
Core Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of shopper behaviour, spatial hierarchy, and physical brand storytelling.
Ability to balance long-term brand vision with immediate retail and commercial needs.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
Working knowledge of 3D tools (Sketch Up, Blender, 3ds Max, or equivalent) or AI based visualisation workflows.
High attention to detail with strong execution ownership.
Experience & Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in visual retail design, Visual Merchandising, or retail environment design.
Proven experience delivering large-scale retail rollouts across multiple locations.
Experience working closely with fabrication vendors and installation teams.
Agency or brand-side retail experience preferred.
Degree in Design, Visual Communication, Spatial Design, Interior Design, or equivalent experience.
