Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:

Beverage Service:  Prepare and serve tea, coffee, and other beverages to staff and guests in a timely and courteous manner.
Pantry Maintenance:  Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the pantry area, including countertops, sinks, and storage spaces.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment (e.g., coffee machines, microwaves) and utensils after use.
Inventory & Stock Management:  Regularly monitor and refill pantry supplies such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, snacks, and disposable items.
Track pantry inventory levels and proactively coordinate with the procurement or administration department for timely stock replenishment to avoid shortages.
Meeting & Event Support:  Assist in setting up refreshments for meetings, workshops, and other office events.
Ensure the timely clearing and cleaning of pantry items and areas after meetings/events.
Equipment Upkeep:  Ensure all pantry equipment, including coffee machines, microwaves, and refrigerators, are kept clean, in good working order, and reported for maintenance if issues arise.
Waste Management:  Properly dispose of pantry waste, adhering to established waste segregation and disposal guidelines.

Proactive:  Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative in managing pantry operations.
Communication:  Basic communication skills to interact effectively with staff and coordinate with other departments.
Physical Demands:  Ability to perform tasks that may involve standing for extended periods, lifting light to moderate weights, and moving supplies.
Learning Agility:  Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to workplace procedures.
