Job Summary

The Shift Incharge is responsible for managing all production activities during assigned shifts, ensuring that output, quality, safety, and manpower utilization meet company standards. This role acts as the operational lead for the shift and coordinates with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth plant functioning.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise production lines and allocate manpower based on shift requirements.
Monitor production targets, efficiency, and downtime; escalate issues as needed.
Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, GMP, hygiene, and safety protocols.
Conduct shift-wise briefings, maintain daily production logs, and report deviations.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and HR for operational support.
Handle minor troubleshooting and ensure timely resolution of line stoppages.
Maintain discipline and productivity among workers and operators.
Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

Diploma or bachelor's in mechanical, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
Knowledge of production planning, process control, and documentation.
Familiarity with food safety standards and compliance requirements.
Ability to manage shift operations independently.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Excel, ERP entry).

Experience:

2–10 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or food processing plant.
