Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Mechanical Engineer with a deep specialisation in manufacturing and production. This is a full-time, on-site role in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, focused on the heart of our operations: the transformation of raw materials into finished, precision-machined components for the demanding mining and drilling industry.

This is not a theoretical design role. You will be the critical link between the engineering design and the production floor, ensuring our products can be manufactured efficiently, repeatably, and to the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day work will involve optimising production processes, troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, and driving continuous improvement in our machining operations.

Responsibilities
Create and analyse product designs, providing critical feedback to ensure they are optimised for CNC machining, production, assembly, safety and cost-effectiveness.
Develop, document, and refine manufacturing processes for metal components, including CNC milling, turning, grinding, and heat treatment.
Oversee and support CAM programming, select appropriate cutting tools, and establish optimal machining parameters (feeds, speeds, depths of cut) for various hard metals and alloys.
Establish in-process inspection points, interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing specifications, and resolve any quality deviations.
Act as a primary technical resource for the production team, troubleshooting machining issues, resolving bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions.
Liaise with material suppliers on technical specifications and contribute to the selection and testing of new materials and coatings.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrable, hands-on experience in a metal machining production environment (e.g., CNC machine shop, component manufacturing).
Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a preference for Solid Works.
Practical understanding of CNC machining processes, G-code, and CAM software.

Experience with the metallurgy of steels and alloys used in high-wear applications, including knowledge of heat treatment processes.
Excellent analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Hindi and English.
