About
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and technically skilled Woodfin Technologist to join our team. This role is central to driving product excellence, enabling contractor capability, and supporting the growth of our Wood Finishes portfolio through training, trials, and technical interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Trials Feedback
Plan and execute product trials across regions and formats (internal validation , field validation , post-launch feedback).
Capture and analyze feedback from contractors and applicators to refine product performance.
Develop and maintain trial protocols and documentation for internal reference.
Market Intelligence Benchmarking
Conduct market studies to understand competitor offerings, application practices, and customer preferences.
Gather insights from field interactions to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Benchmark product performance and identify opportunities for differentiation.
Complaint Resolution Technical Support
Work closely with technical and manufacturing teams to resolve product complaints effectively.
Analyze complaint trends and contribute to formulation improvements and process enhancements.
Build a knowledge base of application errors and solutions for field teams.
Marketing Vendor Collaboration
Support execution of marketing events, dealer meets, and shade lab initiatives.
Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of collaterals and event materials.
Conduct audits and ensure quality standards in vendor deliverables.
Contractor Training Enablement
Conduct hands-on training sessions for contractors on wood finish products
Collaborate with internal teams to activate trained contractors and support product adoption.
Identify and address challenges in product usage through field insights and feedback.
Internal Team Capability Building
Facilitate knowledge enhancement sessions for internal teams like sales and regional technical teams
Drive learning through structured training programs, quizzes, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
Support complaint handling training and technical query resolution.
Key Skills Attributes
Strong technical understanding of wood coatings and application techniques
Effective communication and training delivery skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving orientation
Collaborative mindset with cross-functional coordination ability
Proficiency in documentation and reporting and basic MS Excel
