Experience  4–7 years  in apparel merchandising (export house experience mandatory)
Job Purpose The Merchandiser will be responsible for end-to-end order management, acting as the key link between buyers and internal departments to ensure timely development, accurate costing, smooth production, and on-time shipments in line with buyer expectations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities Buyer & Communication Management  Handle day-to-day communication with buyers
Understand buyer requirements, tech packs, and quality standards
Coordinate approvals for samples, trims, fabrics, lab dips, and strike-offs
Sampling & Development  Manage sampling timelines from proto to PP samples
Coordinate with design, sampling, and sourcing teams for development
Ensure samples meet fit, quality, and buyer specifications
Costing & Order Confirmation  Prepare accurate costing based on fabric, trims, and process requirements
Assist in price negotiations and order finalization
Maintain costing sheets and order records
Production Coordination  Coordinate with production, sourcing, and quality teams for smooth execution
Track T&A calendars and follow up on critical paths
Ensure raw material availability and approvals before bulk production
Quality & Compliance  Monitor quality standards throughout production
Coordinate with QA teams and support pre-final and final inspections
Ensure compliance with buyer and factory standards
Shipment & Documentation  Coordinate shipment schedules and delivery commitments
Work with logistics and documentation teams to ensure timely dispatch
Support resolution of post-shipment issues, if any
Key Skills & Competencies  Strong knowledge of woven/knit garments (tailored to Richi Lader's product mix)
Good understanding of costing, fabrics, trims, and production processes
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Strong follow-up and time-management abilities
Proficient in MS Excel, email communication, and order tracking tools

Desired Candidate Profile  Graduate/Post-graduate in Fashion, Textiles, or related field
4–7 years of experience in an export garment unit
Ability to independently handle buyers and multiple styles/orders
Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven
