Our culture values ownership, experimentation, speed, and customer obsession. Knya has raised funding, led by DSG Consumer Partners, with participation from the promoter family of Narayana Health and Cipla Health amongst others.

Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Merchandiser who will act as the bridge between Knya and our manufacturing partners. This role is heavily factory-focused, requiring close coordination with vendors, production teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of production for scrubs, lab coats, underscrubs, and related apparel. You will spend 4 days a week at factory locations and 2 days at the Knya office, driving production timelines, quality standards, and communication across all stages of manufacturing from sampling to bulk dispatch.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Factory Coordination

• Manage end-to-end production for assigned styles and categories (Scrubs, Lab Coats, Underscrubs, and allied garments).

• Act as the primary point of contact between Knya and factory teams for daily production updates, planning, and issue resolution.

• Track production schedules, capacity planning, and line allocations to ensure timely delivery.

• Follow up on cutting, stitching, finishing, packing, and dispatch milestones.
QC Team Management & Internal Coordination

• Lead, manage, and coordinate all internal Knya Quality Control (QC) team members.

• Act as the central point of contact between factory floor teams and Knya QCs to ensure alignment on quality standards and inspection processes.

• Plan QC deployments across factories based on production schedules and priorities.

• Review QC reports, consolidate findings, and present actionable insights to the Head of Production.

• Train and upskill QC team members on Knya's quality benchmarks, inspection methods, and compliance requirements.

• Drive accountability for quality outcomes across production lines and factory partners.
Quality & Compliance

• Monitor in-line and end-line quality checks at the factory.

• Ensure adherence to Knya's quality standards, fit, fabric, trims, and workmanship requirements.

• Identify quality risks early and drive corrective actions with factory teams.
Sampling & Development

• Coordinate proto samples, fit samples, and pre-production samples with factories.

• Track approvals and ensure changes are implemented accurately in bulk production.

• Work closely with the design and product teams for style clarifications and technical requirements.  Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain daily and weekly production status reports for the Head of Production.

• Track order-wise T&A (Time & Action) calendars and flag delays or risks proactively.

• Maintain records of POs, style sheets, BOMs, and production approvals.
Cross-Functional Coordination

• Liaise with sourcing, warehouse, and logistics teams for raw material availability and finished goods movement.

• Support internal teams with production-related data for planning and forecasting.
Continuous Improvement

• Identify bottlenecks in production flow and suggest process improvements.

• Support factory partners in improving efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes (woven/knit apparel preferred).

Hands-on experience with factory floor coordination and production tracking.

• Good knowledge of fabrics, trims, measurements, and quality parameters.

• Strong communication and follow-up skills.

• High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience in merchandising, production, or factory coordination (medical apparel or uniforms is a plus).
