Description

Role & responsibilities

Production Monitoring:
Monitoring machines, including peelers, slicers, blanching units, and, crucially, drum dryers (large, heated rotating cylinders) to ensure proper cooking and dehydration.

Quality Control:
Conducting regular quality checks, such as testing moisture content, color, and texture, to ensure compliance with product standards.

Machine Operation & Maintenance:
Operating equipment, adjusting parameters (temperature control systems), and performing preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Process Management:
Overseeing the stages from raw material handling to final milling, sifting, and packaging.

Safety & Sanitation:
Ensuring strict adherence to food safety, hygiene regulations, and sanitation protocols.

Reporting:
Compiling production reports, tracking inventory, and documenting any issues during the shift.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience:

A minimum of 1 year of experience is preferred, specifically within a potato flakes, potato flour, or vegetable dehydration production line.

Technical Skills (Operators):
Proven expertise in operating and monitoring specific equipment such as drum dryers, blanchers, slicers/cutters, milling machines, and flakes handling systems.

Quality Control (QC/QA):
Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO), ability to perform raw material inspection, and experience in monitoring product quality to ensure consistency.

Education:

Generally a Bachelors degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field, particularly for management or quality roles. / Bachelor of Technology / Bachelor of Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) in Any Specialization
