Gemstone Sourcing & Production Manager

Role Overview We are looking for a full-time  Gemstone Sourcing & Production Manager  who can oversee gemstone sourcing while coordinating closely with jewellery manufacturing partners to ensure smooth production, consistent quality, and timely deliveries.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in gemology who enjoys working across sourcing, quality control, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Gemstone Sourcing
Source high-quality natural gemstones from trusted suppliers at best prices and terms.
Evaluate stones for authenticity, treatments, colour, and suitability for designs.
Coordinate gemstone certifications where required.
Production Coordination
Work closely with jewellery manufacturers to manage production timelines.
Ensure gemstones are supplied on schedule for manufacturing.
Track pieces from sampling stage to final production.
Quality Control
Inspect gemstones before they go into production.
Review finished jewellery to ensure stone setting, finish, and overall craftsmanship meet expected standards.
Shipping & Logistics
Coordinate shipping of gemstones and finished jewellery between suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with gemstone suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Ideal Candidate  Certification or background in  Gemology (GIA / IGI / GII or equivalent) .
Experience working with gemstone sourcing and jewellery production.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to manage multiple vendors and timelines.
Dynamic and resourceful nature with an ability to think on the spot.
