POSITION OVERVIEW

Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on professional with over 15 years of expertise in the jewellery industry to lead and optimize the end-to-end product development and quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of manufacturing, visualization, innovation, and execution, with a strong focus on international markets including the USA, Europe, and Japan.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development & Visualization

● Lead the entire product development lifecycle from concept to pre-production samples for high-end jewellery.

● Translate design briefs into technical specifications, coordinating with designers, CAM operators, and production managers.

● Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, cost efficiency, and manufacturability.

● Conduct trend and market research to create customer-centric collections for global clients.

Quality Assurance & Process Control

● Define and enforce quality standards across NPD and commercial production.

● Rate and approve samples against minimum quality requirements and manufacturability.

● Identify recurring quality issues, plan corrective actions, and conduct training with vendors/factories.

● Troubleshoot customer complaints and provide technical support to sales and retail teams.

Innovation & Process Engineering

● Continuously explore and implement new technologies and tools to enhance product quality and production efficiency.

● Drive digital adoption across QA and PD functions using tools like Rhino CAD, Corel Draw, Trello, and Asana.

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

● Interface with international clients (e.g. David Yurman, LeVian, Blue Nile) to finalize designs and resolve production challenges.

● Support business development through product presentations, costing insights, and client communication.

Leadership & Team Management

● Mentor product and QA teams, ensuring alignment with timelines and quality benchmarks.

● Lead coordination between internal design teams and external manufacturing vendors (India, China, Thailand).

Qualifications & Skills

● Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or relevant field.

● 15+ years of experience in product development and QA in the jewellery industry.

● Expertise in fine jewellery, high jewellery lines, and branded jewellery.

● Strong skills in visualization, design interpretation, and technical problem-solving.

● Proficient in tools like Rhino CAD, Corel Draw, Photoshop, MS Office, Asana, and Trello.

● Excellent communication skills; fluent in English, Hindi, Marathi, Konkani;
Mandarin (basic).

Preferred Experience

● Exposure to global jewellery markets (USA, Europe, Japan, Caribbean).

● Participation in international trade shows (JCK Las Vegas, Hong Kong Jewellery Show).

● Experience working with luxury brands and premium quality benchmarks.
