Operations Manager

We are looking for a results-driven  Operations Manager  to lead a large-scale  US Export Operations  team in Mumbai with deep roots in  cargo container logistics  and a specialized background in  Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, or Polymers .

The Role
The incumbent will spearhead a high-performing team of  20–25 professionals . This is a night-shift role (7:00 PM – 4:00 AM IST) designed to provide seamless, real-time support to US business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:  Mentor and manage a large team, ensuring equitable workload distribution and clear strategic direction.
Operational Excellence:  Serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues and drive automation and process improvements to boost efficiency.
Vendor & Compliance Oversight:  Manage relationships with shipping lines, truckers, and warehouses while ensuring strict adherence to US export regulations and internal SOPs.
Performance Tracking:  Monitor KPIs, mitigate operational risks, and partner closely with US-based senior leadership to ensure global alignment.

Who You Are
The Industry Expert:
8–12+ years  of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain, with a specific focus on US export processes and trade compliance.
The Proven Leader:
3–5+ years  of hands-on experience managing large teams (20+) in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline
The Sector Specialist:  Direct experience in the  Chemical, Specialty Chemical, or Plastic/Polymers  industries.
The Problem Solver:  Possess advanced analytical skills, proficiency in ERP systems, and the ability to remain calm under high-pressure, high-volume scenarios.
