Age: 45 to 55
- Degree in insurance with ACII/FCII or equivalent
- Very Strong in General insurance domain knowledge, experience and practice
- 20+ years of Senior management experience in General Insurance of which at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Management skills and business acumen
- Ability to inject confidence in others, promote and build positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
JOB PURPOSE:
The job exists to manage the day to day running of the Company by optimizing the performance of each department together with the department managers to ensure that performance is in line with the overall budget and Companys goals.
The main areas of direct responsibility will be:
Roles & Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Board Of Directors, the incumbent will have the responsibility for:
- Establishing the goals and objectives of the organization and ensuring their delivery according to the business plan.
- Achieving financial sustainability during the development of latest business opportunities.
- Contributing to the effective delivery of high-range commercialization services for esteemed clients by ensuring that ensuring that targets for business, claims adjudication and settlement are met.
- Product development and current product monitoring
- Managing the performance of the organizations staff and senior management through effective key performance indicators, targets, and goal settings as appropriate.
- Analyzing and assessing continually the organizations performance against the stated objectives.
- Developing and finalizing a business plan and developing and managing budget of the company and achieving stand-alone productivity for business.
- Negotiating and managing Reinsurance and treaties.
- Developing an operational plan such as service support, for the growth and launch of the organizations products.
- Formulation of an annual budget and business plan, defining the product sales & marketing plan.
- Identifying, evaluating and selecting optimal services and business partners.
- Recruiting and training key hires to implement business plan.
- Establish good working relationships with policyholders, brokers and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Finance:
Business generation, monitor premium collection and follow up of outstanding premiums.
2. Claims:
Monitor claims processing including authorization, adjudication, problem resolution and payment.
3. Digital Transformation and IT:
Leverage technology for Business Growth , Process improvement and improving overall organizational efficiency.
4. Training and supporting departmental managers
5. Strategic Planning:
Establishing a strategic plan for the next three to five years
6. Monthly Management Reporting:
Compiles management reports on the operations of the business each month.
