About the job:
Role: Legal & Compliance Counsel
Location:
Goregaon, Mumbai (HO)
Department: Legal, Compliance and Corporate Secretarial Office
Purpose:
To identify, assess, and mitigate legal and compliance risks while ensuring the organization adheres to applicable local, national, and international laws, especially in the medical devices/healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal:
Draft and review commercial, procurement, R&D, supply, lease, and tender agreements.
Advise internal teams on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory changes.
Support development of policies/processes to strengthen legal compliance.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external counsel for disputes and litigations.
Maintain legal documentation and provide training on legal requirements.
Compliance:
Develop and deliver compliance training for employees and channel partners.
Draft, review, and update compliance policies and procedures.
Guide business teams on compliance requirements and ethical marketing practices.
Support due diligence processes (e.g., SCPIA), risk assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
Assist in compliance initiatives like ambassador programs and internal committees.
Collaborate with business functions to promote a strong compliance culture.
