Major role and responsibilities

- Thorough approach involving in-depth understanding of client needs and legal intricacies in handling assignments.
- Possesses strong analytical and research aptitude with the ability to understand and apply statutory provisions, notifications and judicial precedents.
- Good command over the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Sound drafting skills, with experience in drafting legal documents, pleadings, opinions, and correspondence.
- Knowledge of case laws and the relevant legal framework and remains abreast of regulatory updates.
- Proactive in monitoring developments and trends in indirect tax laws and sharing insights with the team.
- Ability to do quick research to develop a theoretical understanding of the laws and acts.
- Capable of preparing research notes, client communications and legal updates under guidance.
- Demonstrates professionalism, accountability and effective time management in executing assignments
- Client handling

Required Skill Set

- Handling engagements relating to Indirect Tax Laws, including tax advisory and consulting, tax restructuring, and tax litigation under GST Law, Customs Law, Foreign Trade Policy, Service Tax, VAT, Excise, and other allied laws.

- Managing litigation-related assignments, including drafting legal opinions, replies to show cause notices, appeals, writ petitions, and special leave petitions (SLPs), as well as briefing counsels and senior counsels at various stages of litigation.

Qualification- LLB or CA

Experience- 5+years
