Will be responsible for building and leading the operational risk management framework across TATA Digital’s Fintech and E-Commerce businesses . The role will drive proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of operational risks to ensure business resilience, regulatory compliance, customer protection, and scalable growth.
The incumbent will work closely with senior leadership, product, technology, operations, compliance, and business teams to embed a strong risk culture while enabling innovation and speed of execution.

The role will drive proactive identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of operational risks to ensure business resilience, regulatory compliance, customer protection, and scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Risk Governance
Enhance the enterprise-wide operational risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
Enhance governance mechanisms for risk identification, assessment, mitigation, reporting, and escalation.
Institutionalize frameworks to monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and oversee operational risk incidents, root cause analysis, and remediation.
Risk Assessment & Control
Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks for existing and new processes, products, platforms, and partnerships across Fintech and E-Commerce.
Conduct periodic Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) , scenario analysis, and process risk reviews.
Review and strengthen internal controls, SOPs, automation controls, and exception management.
Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements relating to retail lending, payments, insurance, cards, data privacy, outsourcing, cybersecurity, and customer protection (RBI, NPCI, etc.).
Partner with relevant stakeholders to manage regulatory inspections, audits, and remediation actions.
E-Commerce Risk Management
Manage operational risks related to marketplace operations (including loyalty).
Strengthen controls around platform reliability, SLA adherence, reconciliation, chargebacks, and customer grievance handling.
Fintech Risk Management
Oversee risks related to regulated products such as digital lending, payments, insurance, co-branded cards amongst others,
Technology & Business Continuity
Partner with Technology teams on system resilience, cybersecurity risk, change management, data integrity, and incident response.
Own Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Disaster Recovery (DR) testing, and operational resilience initiatives.
Stakeholder & Culture
Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, balancing growth and risk.
Build a strong risk-aware culture through training, awareness, and governance forums.
Present risk dashboards and insights to senior leadership and committees.
Qualifications & Experience
Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or related field.
8-10 years of experience in Operational Risk within financial services and/or digital / e-commerce environments .
Deep exposure to financial services: UPI, Cards, PPI, Lending, Insurance amongst others
Comprehensive understanding of relevant circulars/ guidelines impacting fintech and digital commerce.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently, influence cross-functional teams, and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment
