About You
We seek an experienced and proactive Senior Software Dev Ops Engineer with a strong engineering mindset, deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation, and a passion for building scalable, resilient systems. The ideal candidate will bring 7–8 years of overall experience, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing Dev Ops practices across complex, high-availability environments in domains such as payment solutions, BFSI, retail, or healthcare.
This role requires close collaboration with development, QA, security, and operations teams to streamline software delivery, improve system reliability, and ensure alignment between engineering practices and business objectives. You will champion Dev Ops culture, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in enabling faster, safer, and more efficient product releases.

Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant infrastructure for ordering and payment platforms
Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines enabling fast, safe, and automated deployments
Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP) with a focus on cost optimization and performance
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / Cloud Formation
Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes
Ensure zero/low-downtime deployments for customer-facing applications
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for real-time transaction systems
Drive security best practices including secrets management, IAM, encryption, and compliance readiness
Collaborate closely with backend, mobile, QA, and security teams to support microservices-based architectures
Troubleshoot production issues, lead incident response, and perform root cause analysis
Define and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Dev Ops standards and best practices at Kayana

Required

Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Dev Ops / Cloud / SRE roles
Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, etc.)
Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Solid Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills

Experience with monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python)
Understanding of networking concepts, load balancers, APIs, and secure communication
Experience supporting high-throughput, low-latency systems

Good to Have
Experience working on payments, fintech, POS, or transactional platforms
Knowledge of PCI-DSS, security compliance, and audit readiness
Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, Pub/Sub, etc.)

Experience with auto-scaling, performance tuning, and cost optimization
Familiarity with blue green / canary deployments
