Why This Role Matters
The ideal candidate will have robust experience in web development and data handling/processing on GIS technology platforms such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS (PFA), ERDAS, among others. Proficiency in development technologies, including .Net, Java, ArcGIS (Server, JavaScript API), JEE (Servlet, Spring), ArcSDE, Arc Objects, Python, and mobile platforms like Android and iOS, is essential.
The candidate should have a proven track record in drafting key project documents like FRS, SRS, architecture design, UAT, and deployment plans.

What you will bring
Develop and maintain web applications using GIS technology platforms including ArcGIS, ArcGIS (PFA), ERDAS, etc.

• Implement spatial data processing workflows and ensure data integrity and accuracy.

• Develop and deploy GIS applications using technologies such dotnet, Java, ArcGIS (Server, JavaScript API), JEE (Servlet, Spring), ArcSDE, Arc Objects, and Python.

• Ensure efficient data storage and retrieval processes using Oracle databases and ArcSDE.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and draft Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS) and Software Requirement Specifications (SRS).

• Design system architecture and prepare detailed documentation for development and deployment phases.

• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage deployment processes.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver GIS solutions that meet business requirements.

• Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and team members.

• Ensure projects are completed within scope, on time, and meet quality standards.

• Keep up-to-date with relevant GIS certifications and participate in continuous learning to stay current with industry standards.

• Obtain and renew certifications from recognized institutes such as Python Institute, Oracle, Google, or other relevant organizations.

Non-negotiable skillset:

• Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience with Web App Builder/Experience Builder Dev edition

• Experience with ArcGIS Java script API

• Strong experience with Core development technologies - Java, .Net etc.

Desired Skillset:

• Experience in application development/Data handling and processing on GIS technology platforms mainly ArcGIS, ArcGIS (PFA), ERDAS, etc.

• Development technologies:
ArcGIS (Server, JavaScript API), JEE (Servlet, Spring), ArcSDE, Arc Objects, Python, Android, iOS etc.

• Experience in drafting FRS, SRS, Architecture design, UAT, Deployment etc.

• Python /Google or similar development certifications will be preferred

• Any certification in GIS technology will be desirable

• Experience in handling Urban/ Government Clients will be an advantage.
