About the Role
Pinkvilla is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring high product quality across our mobile application (Android & iOS) and web platforms.
This role requires hands-on expertise in both  manual and automation testing , with strong experience in  mobile app testing . The ideal candidate should be capable of independently owning test planning, execution, automation framework maintenance, and release validation.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Dev Ops teams to deliver stable, high-performing app releases.

Key Responsibilities
1) Manual Testing
Understand product requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.
Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
Identify, log, track, and retest defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
Validate new feature releases and enhancements before production deployment.
Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing where applicable.

2) Automation Testing
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile and web applications.
Build and enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Run automated regression test suites and analyse results.
Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines.
Continuously optimise automation processes to reduce manual effort.

3) Mobile App Testing (Android & iOS)
Perform end-to-end testing of Android and iOS applications.
Test across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
Validate app installation, upgrades, version compatibility, and updates.
Test push notifications, deep linking, login flows, in-app transactions, and content playback (if applicable).
Ensure seamless onboarding, browsing, and user journey experiences.

4) API & Backend Testing
Perform API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
Validate backend responses, data accuracy, and third-party integrations.
Ensure smooth communication between app, server, and external services.

5) Performance & Usability Testing
Conduct basic performance and load validation testing.
Validate app responsiveness under varying network conditions.
Identify UI/UX inconsistencies and usability issues.

6) Agile & Release Management
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement discussions.
Provide QA sign-off for releases.
Conduct post-release monitoring and validation checks.
Maintain documentation of test scenarios and results.

Required

Skills & Qualifications
4–7 years of experience in Quality Assurance (Manual + Automation).
Strong experience in  mobile app testing (Android & iOS) .
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
Experience scripting in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, etc.).

Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA or equivalent).
Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman or similar).

Preferred Experience
Experience working on media, OTT, or content-driven applications.
Familiarity with cloud device testing platforms (Browser Stack, Firebase Test Lab).
Basic understanding of performance testing tools.
Experience validating analytics events (Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.).
