Job Summary:

The BFS Subject Matter Expert will play a pivotal role in enabling business transformation and digital modernization programs for our clients across global banking and financial institutions. The SME will partner with clients, architects, and delivery teams to capture requirements, design domain-led, technology-enabled solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes in areas such as Banking, Payments, Lending, GRC, Trade Finance and Digital Channels.

Required qualifications, capabilities & skills:
1. Domain Consulting & Client Engagement

• Act as a trusted domain advisor to client stakeholders in banking and financial services engagements.

• Lead requirement discovery workshops to capture business objectives, regulatory needs, and operational challenges.

• Translate domain knowledge into solution blueprints, user journeys, and functional specifications that guide technology design.

• Support creation of business cases and value realization frameworks aligned with client strategy.

2. Solution Design & Delivery Enablement

• Collaborate with solution architects and delivery leaders to design and implement domain-driven solutions using leading BFS platforms (Finacle, Flexcube, Temenos, etc.).

• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives across payments, lending, risk & compliance, and wealth management.

• Support pre-sales teams with domain inputs for RFPs, client proposals, and presentations.

• Conduct impact analysis on new RBI guidelines and regulatory mandates; ensure compliance is built into project solutions.

3. Domain Governance & Knowledge Management

• Build and maintain domain accelerators, reusable assets, and process documentation.

• Mentor project teams and conduct domain training sessions to strengthen BFS competency across our delivery units.

• Track emerging industry trends — open banking, embedded finance, AI/ML adoption in BFS — and translate them into actionable insights for clients.

Desired qualifications:

Education:

MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA / BE/

B.Tech, equivalent postgraduate qualification.

•

Experience:

12–20 years overall; minimum 12–15 years in BFS domain (Banking Operations, Product Management, or BFS IT Delivery).

• Strong expertise in one or more areas:
o Retail or Corporate Banking
o Core Banking & Payments (RTGS, NEFT, UPI, SWIFT) (any other payment platforms)
o Lending Lifecycle Management
o Treasury / Trade Finance
o Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting (Basel III / IV, IFRS9, FATCA, AML/KYC).
o Capital market / Wealth management domain expertise
o Liabilities, assets, branch banking, clearing & remittances, GL accounting, and payment systems.

• Demonstrated ability to work across business and technology teams in large-scale transformation programs.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to BFS technology stacks such as Finacle, Flexcube , Bancs or similar core solutions.

• Experience with Agile delivery models and digital platforms (APIs, microservices, automation).

• Prior experience supporting pre-sales / solutioning / client advisory roles and delivery in IT or consulting environment.

• Understanding of data-driven transformation, including analytics, AI, and automation use cases in BFS

• Good to have user testing, BA experience in BFS systems
