About the Team

Our Traffic Data Science team transforms billions of GPS signals, sensor inputs, and real‑time traffic reports into accurate insights that improve mobility and safety. We build predictive traffic models, analyze large‑scale geospatial data, and enable real‑time updates that support routing, congestion avoidance, and smarter mobility decisions across the globe. What's the role:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll develop and deploy machine learning models that interpret complex mobility and geospatial datasets. By combining advanced analytics with scalable engineering, you will directly contribute to improving routing, traffic forecasting, and map quality systems used by millions of people worldwide. Your

Key Responsibilities:

- Build, train, and optimize machine learning models for traffic prediction, routing, and congestion identification.
- Analyze large-scale mobility and geospatial datasets from GPS, connected vehicles, and public traffic feeds to uncover meaningful patterns.
- Develop algorithms for map-matching, road segmentation, anomaly detection, and spatial/temporal modeling.
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for spatial and time-series data ingestion and processing.
- Experiment with features, conduct model evaluations, and enhance performance through iterative improvements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product partners to integrate models into production-grade systems.
- Communicate insights, findings, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You are someone who enjoys solving complex data problems, experimenting with new techniques, and building scalable machine learning solutions that have real-world impact. Your

Skills and Experience:

- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in applied machine learning or data science.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, and experience with ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, or PyTorch.
- Hands-on experience with geospatial tools like Geo Pandas, Shapely, GDAL, and spatial databases (PostGIS, Big Query GIS).
- Solid understanding of spatial statistics, time-series modeling, and routing algorithms.
- Experience working with distributed computing environments (Spark, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Curiosity, a problem‑solving mindset, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
