Job Description:

Responsibilities:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist to join our team in building intelligent, scalable ML systems that power next-generation educational experiences. If you're passionate about building robust ML pipelines and working with large language models (LLMs) to solve real-world problems in the education domain, this role is for you.

- Build and maintain scalable ML pipelines for both structured and unstructured data (e.g., documents, images, user activity logs).
- Develop prompt-based and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems leveraging LLMs for education-centric applications.
- Design and implement data preprocessing workflows, including OCR with Tesseract, PDF/image parsing, and structured record handling.
- Drive the development of internal ML tools for tasks such as content moderation, content generation, and orchestration.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to convert vague problem statements into robust, deployable ML solutions.
- Rapidly prototype, evaluate, and iterate on models; contribute to production-grade deployments.

Requirements:

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field and at least two years of experience or equivalent combination.

Experience:

- 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
- Proven expertise in working with LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc.), prompt engineering, and preprocessing of both text and image data.
- Strong foundation in Python and libraries like scikit-learn, Pandas, Num Py, and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with OCR tools (e.g., Tesseract), Lang Chain, Hugging Face, or Vector Databases are a strong plus.
- End-to-end experience in building and deploying ML pipelines — from data ingestion to model serving.
- Bonus:
Experience in EdTech, educational content generation, or NLP-heavy applications.
